About
Elated Soul is a travel project built around curiosity and intentional exploration.
We use it to document the places we travel, notice them more carefully, and share grounded notes that might help other people experience somewhere a little differently.
The site is organised around two ways of travelling: basecamps and roams. Both involve a lot of walking, because walking is usually how we start to understand a place.
Basecamps are the places we settle into for longer. They are less about highlights and more about how somewhere actually works over time. Where we stayed, what we learned, what helped, what did not, the walks we kept returning to, the day trips that were worth it, and the things we would do differently next time.
Roams are different. They are shorter explorations, or longer trips where we move between several places rather than staying in one base.
Across both, the aim is the same: to document places in a way that feels useful, reflective, and honest to how we experienced them.
Maybe that is all this really is: two people made of star stuff trying to understand one tiny dot in the universe through our own microscopic lenses.
